In der Konzertsaison 2003/04 feiert das Bach Collegium München sein 30 jähriges Jubiläum. In den Jahren seines Bestehens hat der transparente und lebendige Interpretationsstil des Orchesters nationale und internationale Anerkennung erfahren.
Das Bach Collegium München hat sich nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern auch auf seinen Konzerttourneen im Ausland einen großen Namen erspielt und reiht sich damit in die erste Reihe der internationalen Ensembles ein. Wenn auch der Name anderes erwarten lässt, das Repertoire und die musikalische Interpretationsbreite des Bach Collegium München reicht von Monteverdi und Händel über Mozart und Beethoven bis hin zu zeitgenössischen Komponisten. Vielleicht ist gerade deshalb das Bach Collegium München mit seinem besonderen süddeutschen Interpretationsstils für die Interpretation der Werke von Mozart prädestiniert; ist die Heimat des Orchesters doch die Region, in welcher Mozart selbst lebte und komponierte.
Die Aufführungen des Bach Collegium München verlässt der Zuhörer mit dem Gefühl. dass die Interpretation des Orchesters tief in die Musik eingetaucht ist und er mit Leichtigkeit die klare musikalische Struktur und Linienführung verfolgen konnte. Im Jahr 2000 war das Bach Collegium München offizieller musikalischer Botschafter Deutschlands beim Europäischen Musikfest EUROPAMUSICALE, das unter der Schirmherrschaft des Präsidenten der Europäischen Kommission stattfand.<br>

This year is the thirtieth anniversary of the Bach Collegium München. Over the years the unique musical interpretation and pure authentic sound of the BCM have won them national and international prizes.
Not only is the BCM a household name in Germany but their perfect ensemble has brought them high acclaim in concert tours throughout the world, as well, and has placed them among the first rank of international orchestras. Even though their name may suggest otherwise, the repertoire and musical intelligence of the BCM ranges from works by Monteverdi and Händel to those of contemporary composers. But perhaps above all the BCM is renowned for giving a special Southern German flair to the works of Mozart, the home region of the BCM and the very region in which the Mozart himself lived and composed.
The audience after a performance of the BCM are always left with the feeling that the orchestra are deeply involved in the music and with a sense of conviction from the easy-to-follow clear musical structure and line. In the year 2000 the Bach Collegium München was the official musical ambassador of Germany at the European Music Festival EUROPAMUSICALE 2000 under the patronage of the President of the European Union.<br>
